🌌 Starlit Ring Series – Three rings blooming from the logo
🌌 Starlit Ring Series
I have been looking at and refining the logo of Nawol for a long time. From the time when the brand was first created until now, the journey to complete a logo was not short, and it contained many shapes, sketches, and small attempts. There were many that were not selected, but each of those shapes was an essential time for creating the name Nawol.
The 'Starry Night of the Moon' series started from designs that were not used as logos. Rather than feeling like they were discarded, I thought of them as lines that had not yet been used. I wanted to take out those shapes again and expand them in three dimensions, and I put that feeling into a small physical property called a ring.
There were still curves quietly remaining in the notebook on the desk, and the dots, vines, and trumpet-like decorations placed on those curves seemed to be waiting to be connected to the tips of my fingers someday.
It was a bit of a shame that they remained as just drawings, and they were lines that continued to stand out even as time passed.
These three rings , Crescent, Starry Night, and Moonlight , are the result of resolving the shapes in those memories in different ways. Some are made with small and simple curves, some with a quietly sparkling texture, and some with soft and clear silhouettes. Each ring is beautiful enough on its own, but when they are together, you can feel them naturally flowing together like a single flow.
Crescent Ring
The Crescent Ring is a ring that started from the simplest line of the moon logo. It is a design that contains delicate emotions within the restrained curves, with vines and trumpet flowers carefully placed on top of a thinly curved crescent moon.
Starlit Night Ring
The Starry Night Ring is a ring that is reminiscent of the deep sky. The gold pearls scattered on the blue stone sparkle like stars, and the band is engraved with plant patterns and textures that flow smoothly A quiet sparkle naturally seeps into your fingertips..
Moon Halo Ring
The Moon Ring is a design that combines the design elements of the previous two rings and is completed in the richest and three-dimensional way. The round silhouette that surrounds the blue and gold stone leaves a soft and warm impression like a cloud of light surrounding the moon, and has the most splendid presence in the series. Even within it, I designed it so that the quiet emotion of Nawol can flow softly.
I think this series is not a direct extension of the logo, but rather the result of the accumulated feelings in the process, the long-considered proportions and rhythms, and the flow of curves that have become familiar at the fingertips, continuing in a different way.
'The Starry Night of the Moon' was a small attempt that started from a desire to breathe life back into the sculpture that had been quietly sleeping on my desk, and it is a story that was slowly completed with the hope that its traces could reach your fingertips and lead to your own night.
'The Starry Night of the Moon' is a piece of logo that can be touched,
Each of these pieces represents a different aspect of the night sky.
